Welcome to Falls High School, the home of the Broncos!
Falls High School has a long standing tradition of excellence in both academics and athletics and our students continue to carry on this tradition. Our scholars and athletes participate in activities across the state and reach great levels of achievement.
We are a grades 6-12 building with an enrollment of approximately 600 students. Falls High School offers both academic and co-curricular opportunities in a safe and caring environment. We truly care about our students and work to show them this each day.
At Falls High School, we offer a wide range of course offerings. We offer courses for students headed to the workforce, technical training, and four year universities. Students are able to earn college credit in numerous disciplines to help prepare them for post-secondary education and the workforce. We currently partner with the following post-secondary institutions: Bemidji State University, Lake Superior College, Mesabi Range College, and Rainy River Community College.
We have state of the art computer labs with Wi-Fi throughout our building. In addition to our computer labs, we have eight laptop and Chromebook carts in classrooms for students to access technology. Many instructors utilize Google Docs to assign and collect assignments. We assign Chromebooks to all students enrolled in our concurrent enrollment college courses which amount to about 40% of our juniors and seniors.
Our family and consumer science lab and industrial arts shops are second to none. Our family and consumer science program is supported through Carl Perkins Grant funds and includes many new appliances for students to create food and textile projects. Our woods and metals shops are supported through the Applied Learning Institute and have new, industry grade equipment for our students to work with. We offer concurrent enrollment college courses in carpentry, woodworking, and welding.
We are entering into our fourth year of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program (PBIS). This program recognizes and rewards positive behaviors. Our staff has worked very hard to develop connections with our students and this program has helped us to connect with more of our students on a daily basis.
Falls High School is fortunate to also have a grant funded Indian Education program that provides Ojibwe language courses, cultural studies, language round table discussions, tutoring , and Ojibwe Quiz Bowl participation for interested students.
